You may all think I am silly for this, but here goes.

The last time I went to Vegas I stayed at The Orleans. I always get a player's card at the casino's I visit.

Now that I have an Orleans player's card I am on their mailing list. They have several slot tournaments a year, and the best part is their slot tournaments

1. Don't cost anything to enter.
2. When you sign up you stay for 3 days and 2 nights FREE
3. You play in the tournament twice, 15 min on 2 different days.

What a way to stay! So my suggestion may not help this year, but in the future this would be a cheap way to get together even more than once throughout the year. So when you are in Vegas, go get a Player's Club card for the Orleans and we'll use their tournament dates to set up our get togethers.

Can't stay much cheaper than this!!

Dottie, I think that sounds like a great idea!

Oh, I wish I could do that. Unfortunately, Pastors and seminary students are not allowed to gamble. So that would be out for me. But I hope you get to go for that great deal and win some money, I'll be thinking of you! :)

I need something to look forward to... is it possible for us to set up a time where we can get a cheap hotel room and perhaps car pool or something to Vegas within the year! Maybe having something to look forward to will lighten the load of troubles. I don't want to reopen an old and dusty topic, but we were on to something before. I know we are all broke, but could it be a resolution we at least try to do something some time? A goal? It would help me considerably to look forward to a glitzy town, a buffet out and some companionship with my long-time friends on here (going on 2 years now in the spring) before 2011. STMT

I agree with StartrekMT. It would be nice to start planning this and having something to look forward to. Anybody else in?

Something to look forward to... could put money aside from tax refund... need a vacation even if it is months away.

I'm out. I am taking off ten days in March and visiting my brother in Florida - actually he is paying for my flight ! :r7up: Since I'm an IC if I don't work, I don't get paid so those ten days are it for me as far as taking time off work. Sounds like Vegas would be a blast though -I hope it works out for you guys!
